A true essential intent is one that guides your greater sense of purpose and helps you chart your life's path. The concreteness of the objective made it real. It answered the question, how will we know when we've succeeded? An essential intent applies to so much more than your job description or your company's mission statement. A non essentialist tends to have vague general vision or mission statements but no guiding principles for implementing them.
How clear are you on what’s essential in your life right now?
Pretty clear? Really clear? Completely lost and overwhelmed?
Regardless of where you fall on this spectrum, becoming clear on what’s most important will help you find purpose and direction in your life.
In this episode, I discuss how you can gain greater clarity by creating an essential intent. And I share the simple structure I use to create my own essential intent.
