Is There a Difference Between People?

Cecil is from real old money, real like a hoity toity stuff. He has been taken with Lucy. He proposed to her twice in Rome and she said no. But before we find out that she said yes, there's this great little scene where Lucy's mom is writing a letter to Cecil's mom about him. She keeps scratching out the words "he can marry my daughter" And you could just, it's just a particular form of embarrassment that I think is unique to letter writing.
