The Colosseum Is a Monument of the Flavians
The colosseum was a war monument. It's part of the flavians attempt to get them s legitimacy as a dynasty, because they are usurpers. The colisseum is built in part from spoils that come from judea. And it's also this military monument where it's saying, remember all the great things that we've done as a people. Remember our strength. That too is meant to sort of say, you should be for us sa at also, and don't mess with us.
