The Battle of Sigfattr
The conflict would be part of a greater struggle for Iceland. The most prominent Icelandic chieftains would have to decide whether they were for the Norwegian Union with King Hawcon or against it. Sigfattr sensed that this was a sign of his younger brother's unwillingness to fight and he decided to attack Snorri Stuttlissen who fled into refuge elsewhere in Iceland. So Snorri was safer now but Iceland was in turmoil. Despite Snorri's best attempts to reestablish himself as the most powerful man in Iceland he would successfully be exiled by his brother and nephew.
