Is There a Future for Fixed Income?

It's kind of astonishing to see just how far and how fast we've moved. If you go back to the 90s, if you're trying to hit a seven percent return, you can buy all fixed income. We went through this period between then and now, where it's I have to do real estate, venture, private equity. You've got to lift your IRR hurdle, your return hurdles for everything else, including taking the liquidity risk. Now you can stay liquid. It's very cool.
