Pepin and the Blood Court at Constadt
Pepin was a very important bureaucrat now this had been set down by his father Charles Martell who essentially expanded the church as an administrative arm of his rule. He established ties with the Abbasids against the Umayyads. The trade between the Abbasids and the first under Pepin but then Charlemagne is going to help fuel the Carolingian Renaissance. So I agree with you he did a lot of incredible things.
