The Charges of Falsified Business Records Are Not Charged Today

In addition to falsified business records charges, there needed to be something that made those charges into a felony. On their own terms, those things would not likely result in Donald Trump being indicted. If he was going to be indicted, those falsifiedbusiness records would have to be linked to the attempt to commit or conceal some other crime. How does that work if those crimes he described today were not actually charged?
