I Think It's a Bit of Journalistic Malpractice
The New York Times piece chalks this up to white fear and white panic. It doesn't matter what the race is of the people who are genuinely concerned about a material issue. Gianna Caldwell's brother, so that he were still alive to do so, does not even get a mention in this piece by Mr. Bump. I think there's a bit of journalistic malpractice there. And also, what you said that- I don't know, but it's hard to imagine. You said that Gianna would identify as black and does and his murdered brother would, too.
