Wouldn't Your Dog Still Bark Late?

i find it really difficult to believe that any dog wouldn't bark an intruder in the middle of the night. And when questioned about brownie, the dog, scott peterson, the neighbor and former cob, said that brownie barked at everything. But their family friend, the same one who said ma n had been a mess the day of the disappearance, who vouched for marline, saying she was a good mam, but just bad at housekeeping, said the dog never barked at anything.
