Is there a risk that we get desensitized to our own deaths and thereby it becomes easier to accept? For some people, I imagine that might exacerbate fear of death. Well, if that were to happen, I think Seneca would say, then you're doing it wrong. You're looking at death in the wrong way to look at it as a rite of passage," he says.
