The Simulation Hypothesis and the Real Reality
I think it's possible that we could be in an unsimilated reality for which there's no simulator and maybe not even any any bits. So I guess that if we're in that world, I would say the simulation hypothesis is false. In fact, the paperback of this book has got a picture on the cover of the simulator being a teenage hacker who has just created our universe. Simulators like a creator. She didn't be terribly holy God or all good, but maybe all powerful and all knowing depending on how much attention she's paying for this simulation. Or it's kind of theology, if you like.
