I'm Not Going to Put the Car Before the Horse, Then I'll Reserve Judgment

Apple has not publicly said that when matter launches, you need an external profile to make it work. That could just be through the development phase here for those who are working on matter accessories. It seems very on Apple to require a extra profile to enable support. So I don't think that's going to be the case upon launch, but that's just my gut feeling at the moment.
