A lot of psychiatry these days has become psychopharmacology, where there's a bit of an initial touching go assessment to figure out what is the right blend of meds that we're going to try. You are much more interested in how does the brain work? What's happening and behavioral change side of it? Not directly related to let me be the primary psychopharmacologist in the relationship. To me, what's so exciting about the brain is how much we don't know. Every new discovery is enthralling to me. It's almost a spiritual experience for me when you understand something new.
