Music Neuroscience - Is Your Fingers Doing This?
Thousands of pianists have told me, I'm so glad that the music is in my fingers now. But as neuroscientists, we can tell you, your fingers don't have the memory. There's strips in the brain that map to the fingers and they're telling the fingers what to do. That's right, but now they're free from having to really think about each finger.
