The South Korean Unmanned Mission to the Moon
The South Koreans have sent a 1500 pound unmanned robotic spacecraft on a very long month long energy and fuel saving journey. It launched successfully last August, but it didn't get to the moon into orbit around the moon until December. And that's because with computers now, you can pick a trajectory, which is just slightly under escape velocity.
