In this third movement, we've got a real germanic folk dance. You can almost imagine bram's beer in hand as he laughs along with whatever the latest dirty joke was just told. Brahms loved going to cafes in vienna and to sit and listen to the gipsy bands that played all night there. It inspired him to write his famous hungarian dances.
