EA community building activities can look a lot like this, but then the way it's framed doesn't have the same aura of coolness around it. You could for example go and work at an organization that you think is really doing impactful work and you could be a recruiter to help them recruit talented people. It might be giving talks in universities or searching the world search linked in and other places for talented people.
