Do You Have an Advanced Degree?

It doesn't hurt to have an advanced degree, but there are more job opportunities for someone who has a PhD. There's definitely value to having a graduate degree despite the non-trivial opportunity costs if you have an opportunity. But as with all of these things, it depends on someone's background. You could perhaps get some of the best of both worlds by also taking classes online or enrolling at a local university and being a part-time PhD student or a master's student. I think there might be ways to have your cake and eat it too.
