The Benefits of Language Models

Risks of language models are not new, they're at least a decade old. But then if it's a concern I think we're still kind of in the potential benefits territory. What we're looking at with these technologies is a completely new interface to the world's knowledge. We have a system that potentially makes it so much easier for people who have all walks of life to access knowledge in a way that feels more natural. Could we use these models to make very esoteric public information more digestible and intellectually accessible to more people?
