The Greeks Never Made It.

Aristotle thought that heavy is the opposite of light. He was conflating day to day usage of words with actual, you know, facts. The greeks got much further in mat than they did in science. They have absoutely settled any question about the shape of the earth spherical. And then they're trying to explain why some things fall and some things don't. It's not falling like all the other stuff in the sky, eve birds, when they stop flapping their wings. Why not?
