How to Present Your Fee Effectively

Anchoring bias is the idea that our expectations are very heavily set by whatever number we see or hear first. So for example, an architectural fee is small in comparison to the actual cost of construction. This isn't a mind trick, but this is just to help anchor the actual cost. That's a really important thing to remember when you're talking to your clients and not to trick them.
