Universities Plundering Their Cities and Towns
The medical facilities of these universities are tax exempt because they're supposed to offer indigent care. A part of the public good, I would argue, would be a living wage. Most of these schools have shifted from community hospitals and clinics to boutique services like cancer research and plastic surgery. And also in terms of policing, we don't realize that we see policing is about public safety.
