Foucault's notion of normalcy is getting tighter and tighter, says Lum Parsa. Conformity is the same thing as non-conformity: it's a choice to conform or not. The question is whether you've deliberately chosen to do something that can't be done by people who are more constrained mentally than those who aren't.
