The Ups and Downs of Artists
I feel that, you know, you're on a long journey with someone. I have worked with artists of all different ages and there are ups and downs in many careers. So people can hit heights at different moments. You can't lower prices, but there are strategies to encourage an artist to make a different kind of work or think about the different scale. Do you go like actively looking for an emergent artist or do you listen to your artists? "It does take a while, uh, a while to really, um, commit to what you're doing," she says.
