Lucy's Story of Running Away

The song is about trying to run away from home. "I was like obsessed with the idea of running away and I was like, I'm gonna run away," she said. Lucy got a broom handle and a handkerchief and tied it to the end of the broom handle. She then walked to her friend's house in the same neighborhood and tried to live with them.
