A lot of the inspiration for the Swedish folk home, which is the Old Follk Emmets, came from Germany. The German Socialists were that first of all, the struggle for socialism had to be national because they didn't believe in revolution anymore. They thought that they could improve the living condition and the wages and the rights of the working class within the capitalist system. So the Swedish social democrats have always been a strong enemy of the communist. It was this change from class solidarity to citizenship, which is important, says Toracle.
