Real Dictators

CHAPTER

Chinggis Khan's Death

Chinggis Khan died in 1227 after suffering major internal injuries. The Tangot ruler Mo comes to his camp in a last bid to make peace. As far as Mo knows, he is simply being snumped. He grovels outside Chinggis' tent, begging for mercy. When he has sufficiently debased himself, he is killed along with the rest of his family. In death, he begins his transition from revered leader to supposed divine spirit. That at least is how the story goes.
