Heidegger's Not Trying to Add Something
Hegel is more interested in seeing how the everyday actually already has these incredibly impressive philosophical insights, you know. So they have a kind of radically different attitude towards what just everyday life. Like I think for Heidegger, the everyday is the rule of what he calls the they or Dassmann, right? And that- that rule is oppressive. And so we want to get out of it. But Hegel is more concerned with uncovering something that's already operative and even operative in every day. You can go along with it or not, but like, Hegel's not trying to add something to- to thought or to the world. That's his thing.
