Preaching Through the Song of Songs

I'm just wondering how do you preach such dark and difficult passages to a congregation that presumably has children in it. How do you approach doing that well? I think the biblical authors are a great model to us, so we should approach these passages with the same discretion and restraint and yet honesty and forthrightness that they do.
