Why You Shouldn't Use a VPN
Using a VPN is moving the trust that you might have in your internet service provider towards an organization that will be able to capture exactly the same data. If you're using the same VPN, you bring all of the data home and those companies usually fall under a different legal regime than your ISP. In Tor, you don't even have the protection of having a contract. So from a legal standpoint, nobody can force a Tor exit note to not capture your traffic.
