How to Cool Your Heart During Surgery

The temperature of the heart typically people used to say 10 degrees Celsius now there's Kind of a trend and not really cool as much 20 degrees Celsius So that's typically what the heart's at. And then we'll slowly rewarm you got to rewarm slowly because they have shown that if you Rewarm too rapidly it works as reperfusion injury as well as neurologic injury, he says. There are different ways to cool the patient sometimes the patients will put ice on the heart literally just throw ice on the hearts.
