Is There a Generation of Father-Daughter Films?
I wanted it to start off from a really warm, intimate, loving place and that the conflict wasn't primarily going to be derived from their relationship. It was going to come from their individual experiences outside of the time they spent together. I know the movies rooted in some personal aspects, but there's not many, many places of uncharted or less charted territory. I do think this is one of them.
