The Formation of a Diaspora
Three dimensions of forging a diascoro community and living with dias rate identities, individually and communally have been high lighted by stuart hall. The first consists in the ongoing shared connection to the homeland, a longing for the lost origin, shared memories,. shared times and rituals of mor in loss and destruction, and shared attempts to recover what has been lost. And this is what armenians endured when they suffered geneosite and expulsion during the first world. Second aspect that is seen as critical for the formation of diasperus is the re constitution of communal connections after the experience of violent dispersal. This is why you have never heard of an ahenian diaspora.
