The Cockpit Voice Recorder and Flight Data Recorder
The cockpit voice recorder indicated that the crew did not attempt to contact ground facilities after take off from el dorado. The first officer expressed concern about the flight's position relative to the elevation of the terrain. At around eight forty nine p m, the captain ordered a descent to two thousand feet. 14 seconds later, at eight 52 and 17 seconds, the first officer said, minimum on route altitude here is forty four. Then it cut out because the aeroplane crashed.
