How to Adjust Your OG With Dry Malt Extract
One of the best ways that I've found to adjust your OG if you miss it by a few points or something like that is to use DM-y, dried malt extract. Because you can just scoop it out with a measuring cup. You're not dealing with that syrupy mess trying to pour it in and dealing with the spider tails and the drops - all that sort of stuff. The Beer Smith has a calculator, Bruce Friend has a calculator,. There's a bunch of calculators out there for adjusting your gravity by adding a little bit of malt extract.
