The Curse of the Feast Tree

The story of the cursed fig tree is from what I am now calling the newer American literal and not metaphor version of the New Testament. Mark chapter 11 says that Jesus was leaving the town of Bethany, but he was also a man with physical needs. He approached a barren fig tree which bore no fruit for him to eat and he became disgruntled. In verse 21, upon the next morning, Peter was shocked and amazed to discover that the cursedfig tree had wilted.
