Introduction
In discussions about religion, we often run into recurving problems. People tend to have preconceived notions and ideas about what a certain religion is or how it functions. To say that Buddhism is inherently peaceful is problematic when we consider all the times that Buddhists have committed acts of violence,. If we say that Islam is sexist or misogynistic, this is very problematic when we take into consideration examples when it isn't. A second fundamental truth is that religions are always changing and evolving over time.
