The Importance of Open Source

The way Congress works is if you want something to happen, you just take your bags of money and doesn't matter what everybody else needs. I give Oracle credit here as well for the Java team, but I can't imagine it's anything close to what they're making off their main businesses. The fact that there's a well-funded team that does amazing things all the time for open source is just amazing. And then over JetBrains and Kotlin, I hope they make money, but I don't see how they do off of amazing language.
