The Desire for Recognition or Dignity or Respect
In many of your books and writings, you've talked about this kind of desire for recognition that humans are not just looking for a way to order society. And I could see this kind of tying into that argument that someone's traditional place has been disrupted and now they feel like their recognition is no longer valid or no longer special. That's right. It's another complaint I have about modern economics because the utility maximizing individual sees really two parts of the human psychology.
