The Corrupt Intent Elements of 18 USC Section 1512
Donald Trump is charged with violating 18 USC section 241. The statute requires proof of a corrupt intent to cast false votes, but it's not as clear if he actually believed that he would win the election or just voted for someone else who did. A 20 page concurrence in the DC circuit dealing even though there wasn't really necessary to do so based on the appellate issue involved has dealt with the issue of what is corrupt intent.
