Is President Putin Trying to Provoke Nato Into Using Force in Ukraine?
There is certainly an effort by the russians to prep the ground, as it were, for any use they might try to do of chemical weapons. But at the same time, there's certainly a desire to deter the west from direct military intervention. If we were to intervene directly wi with, say, no flison, or whatever that the people have been putting forward, it would be direct military combat between nato assets and russian aircraft and surface to ou missile batteries. And b, it would give putin two very valuable things for him domestically. The first one would allow him to justify more easily use of non conventional weapons,. Whether it be tactical, nuclear or chemical weapons
