Are There New Ventures Into Innovative Project Finance?
Project finance, I think, has long been the biggest challenge for a lot of these deep tech or hard tech companies bringing the new products to market within climate and energy. Part of it that's very well solved is if you have a pretty mature technology with a good operating history and customers who are bankable. The part that has always been trickier is before you get to that point. If you're an innovative company with a new technology, you need to bring a market and you need to build the first one of them ever.
