Dosing Furosemide in Heart Failure?

When patients with heart failure have gut edema, they don't absorb Furosemide unless you're giving it IV. House of God dosing is rule number six and age plus BUN equals Lasix dose. Torsamide has a half-lux that's about two or three times as long as Furo Semide. So you can get away with once daily dosing with Torsamide for anti-pretensive effect.
