Theology Is Not Vaitinschap
In Dutch, you have two distinct verbs even for to know. Vaitinschap is a more objective form of knowledge than Kennan's Scap. The idea that there's particular knowledge that you have to work really hard to cultivate and attain. And once you start to think about the pursuit of all higher forms of knowledge like that, then having a concept like Vaitin's Scap is really tremendously useful.
