The device is based on eye tracking and you making a hand movement. It doesn't really matter where your hands are as so they can be in your lap off to the side. And that's not only great for lots of different accessibility needs, but also that's just great for not being super tiresome. The design of the UI and the interaction is interesting in the sense that they didn't do minority report style. But we don't actually know how it works.
