I'm a Victim of Domestic Violence and I've Been in an Abusive Relationship for a Long Time and I Don't Know if It's Okay or Not

I don't think people understand how many victims actually fight back. People equate that with strength which is its own whole problem. It's just as valid a response as like falling to the floor and crying but that's what we assume a beaten woman is gonna do if she hits back or is she verbally humiliates him berates him instigates. I was in an abusive relationship that was not physically abusive but I can tell you like I was not someone who just like I certainly did just like Amber did like have a lot of times  or I would try to de-escalate and like apologize and just try to keep things from going upbut I'm someone who bites backYou know
