Neopythagoreanism in the Hellenistic World

Holger Thesslef: We don't have evidence of a continued philosophical movement under the name of Pythagoreanism in this period. This would seem to change however early in the 1st century BCE. But how seriously we are to take Cicero's testimony of a revived Pythagorean way of life or path at Rome in his day is open to question.
