Isaiah Berlin's Relativist View of Values

Some writers have seen a tendency towards relativism in Berlin's writings. How does he avoid that trap of saying that every choice is as good as every other? Once he said that values are incommensurable there's no currency within which to compare them. Our human nature is such that pursuing some values is just good for us and pursuing others isn't. So we have a form of proteoploralism if you like.
