The Effects of Methanol and Ethylene Glycol on the Osmolar Gap
Methanol and ethylene glycol tuxesities are unique in that they have a very low molecular weight. An ingestible amount has a lot of osmles right because of so A few ounces many osmles because a molecular weight is low. The therapeutic strategy is to block the metabolism with either ethanol or ethylene gly col or femapazole and then dialyze off the parent compound.
