There's been growing connections between block chain enthusiasts and, you note, these various aid organizations as well. So how has that effected the work of those organizations? Ah, there are tech firms making deals with a developing world governments in the pacific. There is the us. State department that is hosting in a big sort of conferences bringing together civil society people in the developing world. You just start scraping the surface, and you see lots of creepy stuff like that. Am i mead objects like my eyes er, you know, this is like a five alarm fire, basically.

Paris Marx is joined by Olivier Jutel to discuss blockchain’s pivot to humanitarianism, the questionable people behind the technology, and how their projects in the Pacific have benefited capitalist and imperial power.
